Ways of Seeing the English Domestic Interior, 1500-1700: the case of decorative textiles

Today was the first workshop in the AHRC “Ways of Seeing the English Domestic Interior” network. This was hosted by the Archaeological Computing Research Group and the department of History at Southampton. The network will use the latest developments in computer science and cognitive science in order to understand how the domestic interior was experienced in early modern England. Lots of interesting discussion about the potential of digital technologies to interact with domestic interiors, including questions of realism, authenticity and bodily interactions.
