Studying Languages
This site has been made in conjunction with the Why study languages initiative. Although there is a lot of general ‘student’ advice, languages specific help is harder to come by. The site is written by undergraduates to provide straightforward and relevant information about studying languages, linguistics and cultural studies at university. It aims to:
- Provide help and advice about studying languages to current undergraduates and to sixth formers, particularly first years and to A-level students
- To give prospective students a flavour of what it’s like studying languages at university
- To offer advice on the year abroad
- To suggest ideas on what students can do after studying languages
